Ukrainian Cyber Police Seize 100 Tons of Fake Detergent

The Ukrainian cyber police unit recently seized nearly 100 tons of counterfeit household detergent in the Zakarpattia region in southwestern Ukraine while searching the warehouses, workshops and residences of the infringers who produced and sold fake detergent in Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.

The counterfeiters had workshops located in different parts of the Zakarpattia region and produced 60 tons of fake detergent each month. Pretending to be official representatives of a well-known brand, they sold counterfeit products via their own online stores and through various online retail platforms.

Besides detergent, the police officials also seized a significant amount of raw materials, production equipment and computers during the searches.
