Serbian Customs Seize Fake Apparel, Labels, Linens, Curtains
Serbian customs officials at Gradina border crossing point with Bulgaria have recently discovered and seized considerable quantities of fake goods bearing the logos of well-known brands, believed to be counterfeit.
While inspecting a truck arriving from Turkey and on its way to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the officials seized 1,500 kg of various clothing items bearing the marks of Adidas, Guess, Nike, Versace, Frozen, Spiderman, Armani Jeans, Polo and Puma, among others.
While inspecting a van arriving from Turkey and on its way to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the officials seized over 2,000 fake Armani, Givenchy, Guess, Gucci and Hilfiger Denim labels.
While inspecting another van arriving from Turkey with Serbia as its final destination, the officials discovered 500 clothing items (sweat suits, pants, shirts, dresses, blouses, jeans, tights, jackets) bearing the marks of Tommy Hilfiger, Armani Jeans, Chanel, Polo, Givenchy, Lacoste, Boss, Moschino, Guess and Philipp Plein.
The officials also seized more than 1,500 children’s clothing items bearing the fake marks Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty, Frozen Kingdom, Tommy Hilfiger, Boss and Polo. Counterfeit clothing items were discovered in a truck arriving from Turkey and on its way to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Next, the officials seized 1,555 kg of bed linens and curtains bearing the fake marks Hello Kitty, Cars, Tom and Jerry, and Winnie the Pooh, among others. The goods originated in Turkey and were intended for a company from Raska, south-central Serbia.
Finally, while inspecting a bus with Serbian license plates, arriving from Bulgaria, the officials discovered over 50 pairs of fake sneakers bearing the marks of Adidas and Nike, and over 60 sweat suits bearing the marks of Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Hugo Boss, Bogner and Napapijri.
