Romanian Customs Seize Adidas, Nike, Puma, Armani Counterfeits
The Romanian customs officials have recently seized a considerable quantity of goods suspected of being counterfeit, bearing the labels of well-known brands, worth approximately EUR 16,500 (USD 22,500).
On October 8, 2010, the customs officials from the city Galati, eastern Romania, seized 448 clothing articles (sweat suits, T-shirts, jackets, caps and blouses) and 43 pairs of shoes, bearing the marks of Adidas, Nike, Puma, D&G and Armani. The products were manufactured in Turkey and were seized in a commercial center in Galati.
On November 5, 2010, the customs officials from Giurgiu, southern Romania, seized approximately 17 liters of perfume, 122 pairs of shoes and 113 textile articles bearing the labels of various, unspecified brands. The goods were discovered in two trucks traveling from Turkey to Romania.
