Croatia Joins the Academy of European Law

Sep 25 2009 - 16:45

The Republic of Croatia joined the Academy of European Law (ERA) Foundation on September 25, 2009, at a ceremony in Dubrovnik.

ERA is a public foundation based in Trier, Germany, which enables legal practitioners to attend various training sessions and a forum for debate in European law. From now on, Croatian legal professionals will be able to enjoy these privileges.

Even though Croatia is not a Member State yet, it followed in the footsteps of Hungary and Poland who also became members of the Academy before they officially joined the European Union in 2004.

The Academy was founded in 1992 at the initiative of the European Parliament with 22 Member States as its patrons.
