Montenegro Accedes to Singapore Treaty

On April 24, 2023, Montenegro deposited its instrument of accession to the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks. The Treaty will enter into force in Montenegro on July 24, 2023.

The accession follows the amendments to Montenegro’s trademark law that entered into force on January 18, 2023, harmonizing national legislation with the Treaty.

The Singapore Treaty, adopted in Singapore on March 27, 2006, establishes common, international standards for administrative trademark registration procedures.
