Ukrainian Authorities Discover Fake Clothes Workshops

Ukrainian authorities in the Odessa region have recently discovered three unauthorized clothes and fashion accessories workshops and seized counterfeits bearing many well-known trademarks.

During one of the raids, Odessa police discovered a workshop with 54 sewing and label-printing machines, as well as over 1,000 finished garments bearing counterfeit marks of Chanel, Adidas, Kenzo, DSquared, among others.

On a different occasion, authorities found eight Vietnamese nationals making fake clothes in the basement of a residential house. Authorities also found eight sewing machine workstations and seized a considerable amount of clothing items bearing fake marks of Columbia and Adidas, among other well-known brands.

Finally, authorities discovered an illegal clothes-manufacturing business that employed 30 Ukrainians who produced counterfeit accessories. During the search, the officials discovered 47 sewing machine workstations and considerable numbers of watches, wallets, bags and jewelry, bearing fake marks of Adidas, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Lamborghini, among others. The goods were to be sold online.
