Macedonian Customs Seize Fake Hairspray, Apparel

During regular controls at Macedonia’s border crossings, the customs officials recently seized a considerable quantity of goods bearing well-known brand names, believed to be counterfeit.

On March 28, the Macedonian customs officials seized 23,590 hairspray and 19,200 hair mousse cans bearing the mark of Intesa the value of which, if sold on the market as originals, would have reached approximately EUR 79,320 (USD 104,190).

In the week of April 8-14, the customs officials seized 190 pieces of apparel bearing the marks of Adidas, Puma and D&G.

The goods, which were found in trucks with Macedonian and Turkish license plates, originated in China and Turkey, and were intended for the Macedonian and Albanian markets.
