Serbian Customs Seize Fake Candy, Fabric, Apparel

On December 24, 2017, Serbian customs officials at the Gradina border crossing point with Bulgaria seized 400 kilograms of fabric infringing numerous trademarks, including FC Barcelona®, Manchester United®, Sponge Bob®, Frozen® and Hello Kitty®, as well as 300 tracksuits and pajamas believed to infringe the Victoria’s Secret® trademark. The goods were discovered during the inspection of a truck with Serbian license plates.

On December 25, 2017, customs officials at the Batrovci border crossing point with Croatia seized 14.5 tons of candy believed to infringe the Frozen® trademark. The officials found the goods while inspecting a truck with Croatian license plates.
