Czech Customs Seize Counterfeits Worth EUR 400,000 From Illegal Workshop

The Czech customs officials have recently seized goods worth approximately EUR 400,000 (USD 440,000) from a workshop in Znojmo, South Moravia, that produced counterfeit goods, the Prague Daily Monitor informs.

The officials seized a machine that was used to produce logos and trademarks of well-known brands, EUR 28,000 (USD 31,000) in cash and on various bank accounts, 4,200 pieces of textile and 3,450 purses, handbags and shoes. Approximately 40 kilograms of metal accessories with logos of various brands and 4 kilograms of appliques were also seized.

The workshop was run by two women and one man who, if convicted, face up to three years imprisonment. The police have launched criminal proceedings against the offenders.
