Romanian Customs Seize EUR 0.5 M Worth of Counterfeits

In the time period June 25 – July 10, 2014, the Romanian customs officials seized various goods believed to be counterfeit, the total value of which is approximately EUR 0.5 million (USD 0.6 million).

The seized goods include over 15,000 toys bearing Disney, Angry Birds, Monster High, Ninja Turtles, Pirate Fairy and Hello Kitty marks, as well as motorcycle gloves, school bags, clothing items and hair care products, bearing the Disney, Angry Birds, Monster and BaByliss marks.

The seizures were made at the port of Constanta, eastern Romania. The goods originated in China and were intended for the Romanian market.
