Romanian Customs Seize EUR 1.5M Worth of Counterfeits

In the time period November 11 — December 4, the Romanian customs officials seized various goods believed to be counterfeit, the total value of which is almost EUR 1.5 million (USD 2.1 million).

The seized goods include an unidentified number of slippers, toys, umbrellas, wallets, manicure kits, hair accessories, children’s clothing and tableware infringing the intellectual property rights of Gucci, Angry Birds, Disney, Hello Kitty, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Versace, Solingen, Burberry, Monster High, Monster Energy, My Little Pony, G-Star, Porsche, Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Ferrari and Range Rover.

The seizures were made at the port of Constanta, eastern Romania. The goods originated in China and were intended for the Romanian market.
